I must admit, performance-wise, it wasn\u00b4t my most glorious day.<\/p><p>Firstly, I was tired, very tired.<\/p><p>Secondly, I was roasting, boiling actually.<\/p><p>Thirdly my feet hurt, blisters sprouting in various places on my left heel.<\/p><p>In conclusion, I wanted to reach the peak. At least, that\u00b4s what we thought.<\/p><h3><strong>The final part is the hardest part | Part 2<\/strong><\/h3><p>Now here is a funny story: Once we reached the \u201cTop of M\u00e4nnlichen\u201d we found out that this wasn\u00b4t the \u201cTop\u201d of M\u00e4nnlichen.<\/p><p>No, far from it, there is a difference between M\u00e4nnlichen station (cable cars arriving from both sides) and the summit. Hear, hear, hear!<\/p><p>Moreover, this difference equals an additional 2 km (up to the peak and back down) and 142 height meters.<\/p><p>At this point, I do want to be very precise and factual. Honestly, we could barely walk at that point in time. <strong>Thanks be to the Lord for the walking sticks on which we leaned and by which we could pull ourselves up<\/strong>.<\/p><p>It must be said that despite the pain, that this closing part, was also the most beautiful part. The \u201cRoyal Walk\u201d is fondly described on the official website as a \u201ctriumphal procession in itself\u201d. \u00a0We agree, it cannot be described any better!
